Hemiptera - The
True Bugs (cont.)
The
antennae are fairly long in terrestrial Hemiptera and will be four or five segmented.
In some aquatic Hemiptera the antennae are very short and concealed in grooves
on the underside of the head.
The
mouthparts of this group are of the sucking type and form a slender and segmented
beak that arises from the front part of the head and extends back folded along
the ventral side of the body.
