This customized, central database maintains tree records chronicling the maintenance and growth of trees associated with a specific project or region.  Routine tree measurements and characteristic assessments including pest resistance, fall tree color, height and digital imagery are entered into the online database and become part of a tree’s queryable history. Tree maintenance activities are also captured including pruning events, pesticide application, and support installation.  These events can be recorded on a tree by tree basis, based on tree species or location in the nursery.  This application also automatically gathers and stores data from a weather station located on the nursery property, capturing weather data on an hourly basis that assists maintenance personnel in making decisions regarding irrigation use.  Automated weekly activity reports are disseminated via email to all personnel associated with the project.  GIS information used to produce maps based on GoogleMaps API can also be integrated, offering a visual representation of trees associated with the project.
